The Hennessey Child Study Club held its regular meeting Thursday, Sept. 19, and also met Thursday, Sept. 5, at the home of past president Missy Choate for a summer outing.

There were 17 members at the regular meeting and 18 at the Choate home.

President Rhonda Peach presided at both meetings and led the group in the Lord’s Prayer.

Sept. 5 Meeting

Peach read the bulletin and the Minimum Essentials for the 2019-20 club year.

Members voted to donate $50 to medical research.

Patsy Jackson read the devotional, “Ice Cream for The Soul.”

Hostesses Peach and Randi Simpson served a meal to members and Peach won the door prize.

Sept. 19 Meeting

Ginger Hladik gave the treasurer’s report and also reported on upcoming activities in the community.

The date for the club’s Halloween party was set for Oct. 17 and projects for the coming year were discussed.

A devotional, “How Rich Are We?” was given by Jackson.

Choate gave the lesson on how to celebrate a birthday. It was Peach’s birthday and Sue Bell and Jessica Melendy served pizza and bread sticks, then birthday cake and ice cream were served.

Betty McCully won the door prize.
