Hennessey Child Study Club votes to support Whittenburg fundraiser
The Hennessey Child Study Club discussed community projects at its Jan. 9 meeting at the First Christian Church.
Members decided to participate in the Whittenburg Family’s Benefit at 6 p.m. Feb. 8 at the Cow Palace. The Whittenburgs’ son, Logan, an elementary school student, recently passed away.
Other projects discussed are the club’s Father and Daughter Dance and the Mother and Son Dance.
Marissa Choate led a discussion on the club’s projects and plans were approved by members.
Club President Rhonda Peach opened the meeting by leading members in the Lord’s Prayer.
Wanda Choate read the minutes from the previous meeting and called roll with 18 members answering.
Patsy Jackson gave the devotional, “It’s Never As Bad As It Seems,” then Ginger Hladik gave the treasurer’s report.
Randy Simpson won the door prize.
After the business meeting, Annie Lee and Jeannie Brown served a barbecue meal to members.
The club’s next meeting will be 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23.
