The start of school is two weeks away for some county students.

That includes Hennessey, which has enrollment next week.

Enrollment is 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday, July 25, at the elementary school gym.

All Hennessey Public School students must enroll and all must have a parent or guardian with them to enroll.  Enrollment and trip forms may be downloaded from Hennessey Public School web site, filled out and taken to enrollment.

Photos of teachers and their teaching subjects are also on the new website.

New students should take their birth certificate, proof of residence and shot records.

There will be a “Back to School Bash” Sunday, July 28, at Hennessey First Christian Church.

It begins at 6 p.m. and will include free school supplies, snacks, water and bounce houses. The event is sponsored by Hennessey churches and individual supporters. Conducted by church volunteers.

The district will host a “meet the teacher” on Tuesday, Aug. 6.

It’s 5:30-7 p.m. at the elementary and 4-6 p.m. at both the middle and high schools.

School starts Thursday, Aug. 8, for Hennessey students.
