Hennessey groups asked to select their outstanding members for Red Carpet Night
The Hennessey United Association will hold its 13th annual Red Carpet Night Thursday, April 20, at the Ortman Auditorium in the Hennessey Public Library.
The 7 p.m. program and reception is to recognize local Teachers of the Year along with exceptional members of social and service organizations, and others deserving recognition in our community, said Cathy Sturgeon Howard, Hennessey United secretary.
Friends, family and members of supporting organizations are asked to attend the event.
To have your organization listed on the program, Howard must be contacted by Thursday, April 13.
She may be reached at cathyhh@pldi.net or 405-853-6212.
Notifications were sent earlier to organizations to choose their honorees, but if you did not receive a letter, contact Howard.
This recognition event started in 2011 during a unity banquet with former Gov. George Nigh as the keynote speaker.
The late Jean Anne Casey and Helen Cline, organizers of Hennessey United (formerly named Hennessey 2010 and organized in 2000) were the civic group’s first recipients.
