Hennessey library starts curb service Monday
Beginning Monday, April 27, the Hennessey Public Library will offer curbside service, but continues to be closed to the public due to the COVID-19 virus.
Patrons should make lists of what they want to check out and reserve them on their online account, or call the library (405-853-2073) from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday, or email info@hennessey.lib.ok.us.
You must call or email to schedule a time to pick up items, according to a library news release.
The items will be at the front door in a brown bag with the patron’s name on it. Patrons are not allowed inside the building, but there will be a librarian inside the lobby to answer questions through a glass door.
Returns should be placed in the blue dropbox on the north side of the building.
“Per the Town of Hennessey, library staff resumed working behind the scenes on Monday, April 20, following a two-week stay-at-home order for all town employees,” Library Director Ruth Ann Replogle wrote in the news release.
No new library card applications will be available until the library is open to the public.
Free WiFi (with no password required) continues in front of the library parking area and patrons must stay in their vehicles.
Services such as photocopies and faxes will be available at the drivethrough window at Town Hall (First and Main streets).
