Hennessey man injured after crashing motorcycle
A Hennessey man was listed in stable condition after crashing his motorcycle Sunday in northern Kingfisher County.
Daniel Blaze Wyatt-Shimanek, 19, suffered head and trunk injuries aftaer a crash that occurred one-quarter mile north of State Highway 51 on County Road 2890, which is about two miles east of Hennessey, according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The report said Wyatt-Shimanek was southbound on a 1985 Honda around 3:30 p.m., crossed over into the other lane, overcorrected and then turned the motorcycle over.
Wyatt-Shimanek landed about 8 feet from the motorcycle’s point of rest, according to the report.
He was transported by ambulance to the Hennessey Fire Department where he was transferred to a medical helicopter and flown to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
The report said the accident is still under investigation.
