Hennessey organizations are asked to select their outstanding members for annual Red Carpet Night
The Hennessey United Association will hold its 10th annual Red Carpet Night Thursday, Sept. 10, at the Ortman Auditorium in the Hennessey Public Library.
The 7 p.m. program and reception is to recognize social and service organizations in our community, said Cathy Sturgeon Howard, United secretary.
Contact Howard with the name of your honoree by Thursday, Sept. 3, so your presentation can be listed on the program.
She may be reached at cathyhh@pldi.net or 405- 853-6212.
This recognition event started in 2011 at a unity banquet with former Gov. George Nigh as the keynote speaker.
The late Jean Anne Casey and Helen Cline, organizers of Hennessey United (formerly Hennessey 2010), were the civic group’s first honorees.
United’s honorees this year are board members Scott Hajek and Kaden Mitchell and former board member Jack Quirk.
The nonprofit’s mission statement is: “To act as a catalyst for the development of leadership, infrastructure, beautification and quality of life and learning for the Hennessey community and surrounding area.”
