Hennessey Senior Citizens will meet this Wednesday
Current members and other want-to-be 2026 members of the Hennessey Senior Citizens are asked to attend an organizational meeting at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10.
It will be held at the former center (620 East 2nd St.) which is now owned by the Town of Hennessey.
You do not have to be 65 or older to attend the meeting, which was scheduled to discuss future plans and events sponsored and conducted by that group.
The yearly Senior Citizens membership dues of $15 will continue in 2026 and in January those who join will receive one free meal ticket for that month, said meeting planners.
Although the Senior Citizens organization continues to provide the Monday- Friday lunch program, it is also available to all regardless of age.
Lunch is served at the center, or to-go, starting at 11:30 a.m.
Deliveries are also available when reserved the morning before delivery by calling the center (405853-5726).
