Hennessey students filmed while studying wind energy
Enel Green Power, owner and operator of the Red Dirt wind farm in Hennessey, brought a camera crew to Hennessey High School Wednesday, Nov. 13. They were in Kim Fehring’s science classroom to capture students getting a hands-on lesson in wind energy. The company is sponsoring a branded content production spotlighting Kathy Jackson (at left), an Oklahoma educator who facilitates the Kid-Wind energy curriculum in the state. Cameras rolled as Jackson showed students how to build model wind turbines and measure their electricity output. Afterward, the class joined Jackson for a field trip to Red Dirt, where students got to witness the same energy generation process on a much larger scale. [KT&FP Staff Photo]
