The privately-owned Orr Construction Inc. oilfield business located at Hennessey’s 1145 S. Main St. wants to expand its business east to Mitchell Road.

To do that, it needs 43.74 acres rezoned from general agriculture to general industrial.

Orr’s application for that change will be voted on by the Hennessey Planning and Zoning Commission during a public hearing at 5:30 p.m., Monday, April 8, at Hennessey Town Hall.

The pipeline, plant and oilfield construction company’s office is located at the former Dollar Transportation building.

It plans to locate a security trailer on the Mitchell Road entrance, said Tiffany Tillman, town administrator.

Orr has headquarters in Davenport, but has done work in this area, including construction of the Kingfisher Midstream plant.
