HHS Student Council earns state honor

The Hennessey High School Student Council was awarded the Oklahoma Association of Student Councils’ Gold Chapter of Excellence for outstanding achievement for 2019-20. The honor is given to student councils which have a well-rounded program and are active on the local, district and state level. There are 23 schools in the district and only Hennessey and Waukomis were awarded this state distinction. There are only 76 Gold Chapters out of 355 schools in the OASC. “This is something our students have been working toward for the last three years,” wrote HHS Principal Angela Avila and Student Council Sponsor Raeanna Fuksa in a joint-announcement.
