Hladik speaks to Theta Tau members at October meet
Theta Tau Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha met at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, in the Fellowship Hall of the First Christian Church.
Stormy Simmons, president, opened the meeting with members repeating the updated mission statement.
Beth Schieber, chaplain, read “The Tale of the Willow Tree.”
Terri Peck introduced the guest speaker Brittney Hladik, Santa’s Toyland coordinator, who gave the group an update on this special project.
This project supports Kingfisher County through an application process for children and youth from ages 0-18 years of age.
Last year, 80 children and youth were served.
Theta Tau members will do stocking stuffers for the age group from 0 to 12-year-olds. Members will be bringing these items to the November meeting.
There was a reminder to preorder Aunt Bill’s candy, cinnamon rolls and Amish bread early from one of the members.
The chapter will not have a booth at Winterfest this year.
Terri Stake and Peck will work on publicity.
The next meeting will be Nov. 17 with Peck and Paige Kraus as hostesses.
Hostesses Debi Trout and Karen Edgar served refreshments to Peck, Stake, Ramona Paine, Cathy Holsted, Simmons, Schieber, Cynthia Eaton, Dana Terrell, Dana Golbek, Karen Hubbard, Kraus and Karen Castonguay.
