Hollon is city’s newest officer
Kingfisher Police Department’s newest patrolman is an experienced officer as well as a U.S. Army Veteran.
Officer Matthew Hollon started his month-long training process Monday, riding with Sgt. Dustin Brodrick.
Originally from Bernice, Hollon is a graduate of Afton High School and holds an associate’s degree in criminal justice from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M at Miami.
He’s certified by the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET) and has served on the Altus and Watonga police departments.
Hollon is the father of a 4-year-old son, Jaxxen, and he and his fiancée are awaiting the birth of their daughter, due next month.
He plans to relocate his family from Watonga to Kingfisher, which he describes as “a great place to raise my kids – a nice community with good schools.”
