George and Jeanne Holt will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Sunday, Aug. 9.

Jeanne met George, a young soldier returning from serving in Vietnam for two years.

They married Aug. 9, 1970, in Savannah, Ga.

George accepted and loved her children as his own.

They moved to Dover in October 1975.

In 1989 they relocated to Kingfisher where they live today.

George worked numerous jobs including the oilfield and the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.

Jeanne was a waitress at numerous local restaurants and had an in-home daycare for many years.

The couple’s children are Kenny and Trecia Harrell of Mustang; Susan Holt of Dover; and Peggy Bollenbach, Shirlene Harrell and Kandy Cochran, all of Kingfisher.
