Holy Trinity tabs Newman as new school principal

By

Holy Trinity Catholic School in Okarche welcomed new principal Alice Newman earlier this month.

A native of southwest Oklahoma, Newman has 27 years of teaching experience and a master’s degree in school administration. She also has a background in public relations and marketing and is a former director of religious education.

“We are excited to have Mrs. Newman here with us as our new principal at Holy Trinity,” said Rev. Cory Stanley. “Holy Trinity Catholic School has a long history of excellence and enjoys strong support from our families, our alumni and our community. I am eager to collaborate with Mrs. Newman as we continue building upon this solid foundation.”

Newman said that one of the first things she did as new principal was to send out an extensive survey to parents.

“We got valuable feedback and were pleased to see such positive reviews,” she said. “The thing that stood out most was that 100% of parents who responded said they would recommend Holy Trinity to other families. We look forward to building on that strength and increasing enrollment numbers.”

Newman said that she is very happy to be at Holy Trinity.

“Everyone has been so welcoming,” she said. “The faculty and staff are very professional people who enjoy what they do.”

The school is getting a bit of a new look as well. Restrooms are being totally remodeled and new flooring is being installed in the hallway.

“I’m looking forward to beginning this next school year and to seeing all of our students and staff back in the classrooms,” Newman said.

Enrollment packets for the 20-21 school year are available in the HTCS office or by calling Lenda Schaefer at 263-4422.
