House, Smith exchange wedding vows during Grand Lake ceremony

Rachel House and Tyler Smith, both of Yukon, were united in marriage on April 4, 2020.

The bride is the daughter of Mark and Robyn House of Mustang. The bridegroom is the son of Chris and Linda Smith of Grand Lake and formerly of Kingfisher.

The couple exchanged wedding vows at 3 p.m. in a ceremony outdoors on the lower deck of the groom’s parents’ lake house overlooking Grand Lake.

Due to the pandemic, only immediate family, the two maids of honor and the two best men were present.

The Reverend Michael Mitchell of Davenport officiated.

Following the ceremony, a small reception and a dinner were hosted at the groom’s parents’ house.

The couple repeated their vows in the presence of all of their wedding party as well as a larger gathering of family and friends at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at The Chateau in Banner with Youth Pastor Mason Hensley officiating.

The bride was again given in marriage by her father.

The bride wore a floor length fit and flare ivory gown with hand-placed lace trimming the illusion Sabrina neckline and illusion scoop back, and handplaced romantic lace.

She carried a bouquet of white and wisteria roses, interspersed with greenery and wore a finger-length veil of ivory tulle.

A wedding dinner and dance were held at the Chateau as well.

The bride is a 2017 graduate of Oklahoma State University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in recreational therapy.

She is employed at the Children’s Center Rehabil-itation Hospital in Bethany as a certified recreational therapist.

The bridegroom is a 2015 graduate of the University of Oklahoma where he earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial and systems engineering. He is employed at OG&E in Oklahoma City as an industrial and systems engineer.

The parents of the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Rib Crib in Yukon.

The couple honeymooned in Jackson Hole, Wyo., and have made their home in Yukon.
