September enrollment number at the Hennessey Public Schools totals 889 compared to last year’s September count of 864.

Most of the overall 25-student increase is in the middle school, which is up 32 students over last year.

The pre-K and kindergarten classes were up two students, but high school numbers were down eight and the elementary was down two.

Middle School – 6th, 73; 7th, 56; 8th, 71 = 200

Early Childhood – Pre-K, 62; K, 68 = 130
