Plainview HCE held its monthly meeting Monday, April 8, in the home of Jeanne Mackey.

Dana Golbek, president, brought the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m.

Members recited pledges to American and Oklahoma flags, followed by the devotion. Roll call was taken and the minutes of the previous meeting were read.

Terri Peck gave the treasurer’s report on the club’s financial status.

Club members reviewed scholarship applications and made the selection of recipient.

Dennis Banther and David Smith of the Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Office were guest speakers on the topic of “Scam Prevention and Avoiding Fraud.”  

Also, the leader lesson was received.

The meeting adjourned and refreshments were served by Mackey.

The next meeting will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 13 at BancFirst. Linda Witt will be program leader.
