Johnson talks Thailand with local Study Club

By

Twelve members of the Kingfisher Study Club and two guests met Feb. 6 in the home of Sherry Blair.

Guests were Donna Krittenbrink and Dr. A.J. Johnson.

Linda Randall served as co-hostess.

Johnson presented a program on Thailand, also known as the Land of Smiles, with a slide show and information regarding government, geography, religion, modes of travel, health care and currency.

Johnson has made several trips to Thailand and considers it an incredible place to visit, he said.

Following the program, President Carlene Gooden led the business meeting concerning details for the Senior Tea, which will be held April 3 in the First Christian Church Fellowship Hall.

The meeting closed with the reciting of the Club Women’s Collect.

The next meeting will be March 6 at the Methodist Church Parlor. Martha Burditt will be hostess and Gerry Plummer co-hostess.
