Jon’s Ramblin’s
It’s Springtime
Most of what I’m gonna say is common sense. A few friendly reminders:
As it warms up we are gonna have those dreaded little buggers we call ticks. If you get a tick bite and start feeling flu-like symptoms, get to the doctor ASAP. You probably have a tick-borne illness.
And this time of year is tornado season. Watch the weather forecasts and take necessary precautions.
There are rattlesnakes in Kingfisher County. I’ve heard of them east of Kingfisher. We do have them in this part of the county (western third). Just use caution in tall grass and weeds. The massasauga variety are very aggressive; they are small length about 18 inches. Their head could be covered with a penny. The rattles are so small they can barely be heard when they rattle. I doubt very much if I could hear them. Have a great spring.
God bless America,
