KC sells out 2 shows; auction benefits food bank
Consider Kingfisher Creative’s first foray into dinner theater a success. The local group performed in front of two soldout crowds earlier this month and also was able to contribute to a worthy cause in the process. The group performed “Murder at the Pie Auction” on March 6 and 7 at the Kingfisher Elks Lodge. Tickets afforded guests dinner, drinks and the performance. They also had a chance to bid on a variety of pies each night during silent auctions. Pies were donated by Johanna Adams, Denise Boots, Donna Carter, Sharon Clark, Vonda Curtis, Micah Daugherty, Lesley Fisher, Laurie Hagar, Paula Lambert, Jacob Loewen, Patricia Louthan, Elise Morrow, Dennis Mueggenborg, Scott Osborn, KJ Reherman, Rori Paige Sweets, Jessica Salter and Sharon Yoder. There were 20 pies sold at auction the first night and another 18 the second night. Photographer Michael Louthan also donated a framed photo to be auctioned. All told, the auctions raised $2,300. Every penny from those auctions was donated to the Kingfisher County Food Bank.
