No Kingfisher High School all-school reunion is planned for Memorial Day Weekend, the Class of 1971 announced this week.

The 1971 class would have hosted this year’s event, but class spokesperson and Kingfisher Mayor Roxie Alexander said the reunion is canceled due to uncertainty about COVID-19 community spread at that time.

“It’s hard to justify bringing a lot of people to town, especially those in vulnerable age groups,” Alexander said.

“We’ll hope for a better year next year.”
