KHS announces Students of the Month
Kingfisher High School recently announced its Students of the Month for December 2020.
Students are chosen based on several characteristics including responsibility, leadership, work ethic, reliability, kindness and others.
Selected by the faculty and staff were freshman Kale Hart, sophomore Alli Themer, junior Sydney Purintun and senior Caleb Dick.
Hart is the son of Chad and Becky Hart.
He is listed on the Principal’s Honor Roll.
He is active in KHS football, basketball and track. He is also a member of the Kingfisher United Methodist Church and the Youth Force Missionary.
Themer is the daughter of Dennis and Tammy Themer.
She is listed on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll and is a member of the National Honor Society
She is active in the Kingfisher FFA Chapter where she has been a state runner-up with her speech and she was a member of the Conduct of Chapter Meetings team that was a state champion and national finalist.
Themer is also active in KHS cross country, track and Student Council.
Purintun is the daughter of Stuart and Stacey Purintun.
She is a member of the National Honor Society and is listed on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll.
She was also named Student of the Month during her freshman and sophomore years.
She serves as a manager for the KHS football team and is active in Student Council and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes where she currently serves as president.
Purintun has been selected to the leadership program at the University of Central Oklahoma as well.
Dick is the son of Jeff and Mika Dick.
He is a member of the National Honor Society and he has been listed on both the Superintendent’s and Principal’s Honor Rolls.
He has been recognized as a Junior Lion as well.
Dick plays football and baseball for KHS and was recognized as an All-District wide receiver for 2020.
He is also an active member of Student Council and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
