KHS announces Students of the Month

Kingfisher High School has announced its Students of the Month for January 2021.

Students are chosen based on several characteristics, including responsibility, leadership, work ethic, reliability, kindness and others.

Selected by the faculty and staff were freshman Jett Braun, sophomore Macy Harrison, junior Emma Lukasek and senior Grace Stinnett.

Braun is the son of Lonnie and Blair Braun.

He is a member of the Oklahoma Honor Society and the KHS baseball team.

Harrison is the daughter of Laynette Harrison.

She is listed on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll and is a member of the National Honor Society and the Oklahoma Honor Society.

She has been active in the vocal program for six years where she has earned multiple excellent and superior honors.

Harrison is also a part of the KHS drama team where she played in “A Christmas Carol” this year. She has also been volunteering at the Kingfisher Chamber of Commerce for five months.

Lukasek is the daughter of Justin and Lori Lukasek.

She is listed on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll, was named Student of the Month as a freshman and she has been selected as a Hugh O’Brian Youth Ambassador.

She is a member of the Kingfisher FFA Chapter where she received the Star Greenhand Award.

Lukasek is also a member of the KHS softball team, Student Council, Oklahoma Honor Society, National Honor Society and OCPA.

Stinnett is the daughter of Earl and Melissa Kiser.

She is a member of the KHS Photography staff where she is currently serving as chief photographer.

Stinnett has been listed on both the Principal’s and Superintendent’s honor rolls.

She is also active in the Spanish Club, FCCLA, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Student Council at KHS.
