Sarah Gruntmeir of Kingfisher will graduate with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural sciences at Cornell University’s 151st commencement ceremony, to be held May 26, in Ithaca, N.Y.

Gruntmeir is among 3,400 undergraduate students graduating in the spring commencement event.   

While at Cornell, Gruntmeir’s activities included membership in the Agricultural Sciences Ambassadors, Agribusiness Fellows, Phi Sigma Sigma Sorority and the varsity women’s polo team.

She also conducted research on fresh market and cider apples as a laboratory assistant in the Peck Laboratory.

Gruntmeir is the daughter of Don Gruntmeir and Laura Garrett and a 2016 graduate of Kingfisher High School.

She plans to join the Orchard management team at Fishkill Farms and Treasury Cider in Fishkill, N.Y., after graduation.
