KHS Photography students earn national recognition

Photosby four Kingfisher High School students were recently honored in a nationwide contest.

The Photographic Society of America recently announced the winners of its annual Youth Showcase.

In the digital photography, Ashton Wensman’s “Duty, Honor & Country” won first place in the photojournalism category.

Braden Burns’ “Bethlehem” earned second place in the scapes category.

Two photographers garnered honorable mention in the photographer’s choice category.

Black earned it for “Hat Cat” and Priscilla Delatorre’s “His Shadow” did the same in monochrome.

All are KHS Photography students under the direction of Dr. A.J. Johnson.
