Kingfisher Compassion Clinic receives grant to offer free 1-day vision screens
KCC proposal earns grant
Deborah Maehs, Kingfisher Community Collaborative grant writer and KCC chairman Lisa Copeland with a $1,000 grant awarded at the Oklahoma Rural Health Conference for a one-day free vision clinic to be scheduled through the Kingfisher Compassion Clinic. Called, “I Can See Clearly Now,” the clinic will involve an optometric staff provided by Feed the Children and may also include free eyeglasses if available. Maehs and Lorena Najera of the Compassion Clinic presented the proposal at the health conference.
