Kingfisher County Extension hosting workshop on homemade pie crusts

How to make homemade pie crusts will be the topic at a Kingfisher County Extension workshop next month.

Theworkshopisplanned at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, at the Extension Offi ce.

Participants will learn several techniques for crust making and completing a two-crust pie.

Lindy Hoel, Extension educator for FCS/4-H youth development, will instruct at the workshop.

“Making pie crusts is an old fashioned concept that will be brought back with new and improved healthier crust options than the pre-made store bought crusts available,” Hoel said.

Hoel will teach participants how to make a pie crust from scratch, how to make homemade fi lling and how to decorate a pie crust.

This workshop has a registration fee of $5 per person and participants are asking to bring a rolling pin.

This event is open to the public.
