The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

August 7 - Felony value-false pretense/bogus check. Officer Aaron Schlegel took a report from Lawrence Eaton regarding fraud.

According to the report, Eaton stated he had purchased a dog online and received confirmation for payment. He then received messages requesting further payment for insurance and shipping and, after researching the seller, realized it was a scam, the report said.

Eaton stated that he had contacted the OSBI, completed a FBI complaint form and contacted his bank about the incident, according to the report.

August 16 - Domestic abuse assault and battery. Officer Brandon Chapman responded to a report of a domestic altercation in the 800 block of South Third Street.

Officers Briston Lowry and Charles Trout assisted with the investigation.
