Kingfisher Police Department report
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following report:
December 4 - Evading arrest detention, eluding a police officer, reckless driving and defective equipment.
According to the report, Officer Briston Lowry witnessed a 2006 Chrysler with an obscured tag, as well as defective tag lights on East Robberts Avenue.
Lowry said in his report that he engaged his patrol car emergency lights and attempted to make a traffic stop of the vehicle, but the vehicle turned north onto U.S. 81 and accelerated with speeds up to 100 mph.
The vehicle turned left onto a county road accelerating up to speeds of 120 mph and stopped in the roadway after traveling west for approximately five miles, according to the report.
Lowry said in his report he approached the vehicle with his weapon drawn, but the driver had fled the scene.
Lowry and other officers searched the surrounding area for the suspect, but were unable to locate the driver, the report said.
Lowry performed an inventory of the vehicle and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
Officers identified the owner of the vehicle based on the tag registration information, but suspected the driver to be someone other than the owner based on evidence discovered in the vehicle, accordto the
