Kingfisher Police Department reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
Feb. 28 — Officer Justin Conner took a report from James Maxwell of Kingfisher concerning damage to Maxwell’s mother-in-law’s property, located at 1025 Robin Lane. Maxwell reported that a small red car had driven in the yard and caused damage.
The officer was provided with the suspect license plate number and located the driver, who said he did made a turn-around in the yard, while looking for his wife’s dog.
March 1, 8:09 a.m. — Sgt. Justin Trumbley was dispatched to the 500 Block of South Third Street in regard to a domestic dispute after the fact.
March 1, 11:26 a.m. — Lt. Travis Gray took a report from a 52 year-old Kingfisher woman who stated that her full name and social security number had been used to apply for Unemployment benefits. She advised the officer that the claim had been filed with the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission office in Enid, and the address receiving the benefits in her name was actually in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
A representative at the Enid office advised that this is a common scam, and that California and Florida are the most common states used in the scam.
March 1, 9:43 p.m. — Officer Justin Conner responded to a domestic altercation and a violation of a protective order in the 400 Block of East Bowman.
March 3, 7:50 p.m. — Officer Aaron Schlegel responded to a traffic accident on Broadway Avenue just east of 13th Street. At the scene, a 48 year-old Okarche man was placed under arrest for driving under the influence.
Feb. 26, 6:30 p.m. — Officer Jason East took a report from Kevin Odell, of Crescent, who stated that a 37 year-old Enid man had allegedly made a threatening comment toward him.
Feb. 28, 8:45 a.m. — Lt. Travis Gray responded to 602 S. Third Street in reference to a vandalism. Upon arrival, he met with Jeff Tate, who advised that he had attempted to air up two flat tires on his vehicle, but he could feel the air escaping through the sidewalls. He then showed the officer puncture marks about an inch-long.
