Kingfisher Police Department reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
October 16 - Domestic abuse/assault and battery. Officers Aaron Schlegel, Charles Trout, Jason East and Dustin Brodrick, as well as several deputies from the Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Office, responded to a report of an alleged domestic assault in the 600 block of South 6th Street.
October 16 - Public intoxication. A 33-year-old man came to the police department following an earlier incident in which the police had made contact with the man. Officer Charles Trout noticed the man exhibited signs of intoxication and questioned the man regarding how much alcohol he had consumed, according to the report. The man reportedly stated he had a medium-size bottle of wine about five hours earlier. Trout placed the man under arrest for public intoxication and transported him to the county jail. Officer Aaron Schlegel assisted with the investigation.
October 18 - Theft of a motor vehicle. Officer Charles Trout took a report from Jack Stuteville, Kingfisher, of a missing 2010 Peterbilt truck from 209 West Starlite Drive. Stuteville reported that he had last seen the truck on his lot the previous day and speculated that the vehicle was taken during the night of Oct.17. Trout entered the identifying information for the vehicle into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and contacted neighboring businesses regarding possible video surveillance footage.
October 20 - DUI-liquor or drugs. Officer Broden Carls stated in the report he was on patrol in the area of U.S. 81 and Miles Avenue when he witnessed a Dodge truck with a defective third brake light and failure to maintain the proper lane. Carls initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle. According to the report, when Carls approached the vehicle he detected the odor of alcohol and the 33-year-old male driver appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication. Carls stated in his report, that he questioned the driver regarding his consumption of alcohol and the driver stated he had consumed 32 ounces of Smirnoff earlier in the evening. According to the report, the driver also stated he was currently taking several prescribed medications. The driver provided a temporary license and, after questioning, stated he had been arrested for DUI the previous week, according to the report. The driver was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and transported to the county jail. Officer Sam Ridenhour assisted with the investigation.
