Kingfisher Police Department reports

The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

March 13 - Obscene/threatening or harassing phone calls. Officer Dustin Brodrick responded to a report of harassing phone calls and text messages originating from a residence in the 800 block of Clark Drive.

Officer Travis Gray assisted with the investigation.

March 13 - Grand Larceny. Officer Charles Trout took a report regarding theft of a barbecue smoker/ grill and trailer.

According to the report, James Phillips stated he discovered his barbecue smoker/grill and trailer were missing from the 600 block of South Third Street. Phillips said he noticed the trailer was missing on March 11, but was possibly stolen as early as March 1, according to the report. The 8-feet by 10-feet

The 8-feet by 10-feet trailer was described as having a large smoker/grill on it with a large burn box on the back and a firewood box located on the passenger side of the trailer.

Phillips provided photographs of the trailer for identification.

March 13 - Domestic abuse assault and battery and public intoxication. Officer Richard Staton responded to a report of a domestic altercation in the 1000 block of South 10th Street.

March 14 - Theft. Officer Justin Conner was dispatched to the 200 block of East Toronto Avenue in regard to the theft of a lawnmower.

According to the report, Dawn Terrell stated her lawnmower was missing and had been on her property that morning.

Conner stated in his report that later in the day he received a call from Terrell and she now had information regarding the location of the mower and a possible suspect.

The mower was located near Fifth Street and East Bowman Street, but the engine was missing, according to the report. The 30-year-old male

The 30-year-old male suspect was located and questioned regarding the theft.

According to the report, the suspect initially denied taking the mower, but after Conner witnessed a mower battery in the suspect’s possession, he admitted to the theft. Conner stated in his

Conner stated in his report that the suspect led him to the remaining parts, but the engine was not located.

March 15 - Unauthorized use of a vehicle, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officer Charles Trout responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 600 block of South Third Street.

Trout met with a woman who reportedly stated she had allowed an identified 40-year-old female to borrow her vehicle and it had not been returned.

According to the report, Trout located the vehicle at the suspect’s current address in the 500 block of South Seventh Street and made contact with the suspect.

Trout stated in his report the suspect appeared to be under the influence of an intoxicant and she denied knowing where the keys to the vehicle were.

The suspect allowed Trout to search her purse in an attempt to locate the keys, according to the report. During the search, Trout stated in his report, he did not locate the keys, but did find a plastic box with nine small baggies containing a crystalline substance and a glass smoking pipe with crystalline residue, which were seized as evidence.

According to the report, the suspect eventually provided officers with the keys to the car.

The evidence was photographed. The crystalline substance was field tested and produced a positive result for methamphetamine, according to the report.
