Kingfisher Police Department reports

The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

March 16 - Larceny of lost property. Officer Justin Trumbley took a report of a missing wallet. Leona Miller, Seiling, reportedly stated she purchased items at Walmart on March 15 and noticed her wallet was missing after stopping to get gas in Watonga. According to the report, Miller said when she called to cancel her Emerald tax card, she was informed that several transactions had been made and most of the money had been transferred to a Paypal card. Miller reportedly stated there was approximately $800 on the tax card. The wallet also contained Miller’s driver’s license and other debit cards, according to the report.

March 23 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Officer Justin Conner responded to a report of a suspected theft at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive. Police dispatch relayed a description of the suspect to Conner and a 35-year-old male fitting the description was located near U.S. 81 and Starlite Drive. According to the report, the suspect was carrying a Walmart bag and was able to produce a valid receipt for the items in the bag. Conner stated in his report that he asked the suspect if he was concealing any stolen items on his person and he denied having anything and volunteered to empty his pockets. Conner noticed a possible item remaining in the suspect’s pocket and when asked, the suspect removed a glass smoking pipe with white residue inside, according to the report. The smoking pipe was seized and the residue field tested positive for methamphetamine.

March 24 - Domestic abuse committed in the presence of a child. Officer Justin Trumbley responded to a report of a domestic altercation in the 200 block of South Ninth Street. Officers Richard Staton, Ryan Gibson and Sam Ridenhour assisted with the investigation.

March 27 - Burglary-second degree. Officer Charles Trout took a report of a burglary in the 400 block of East Broadway Avenue. Jason Thoroughman reportedly stated that someone had entered his residence and taken several items, including a television that belonged to another individual. According to the report, Thoroughman stated that he had recovered all the items from a known individual with the exception of the television.

March 27 - Domestic assault and battery/ abuse. Officer Briston Lowry responded to a report of domestic assault in the 800 block of South Third Street. Officers Travis Gray and Dustin Brodrick assisted with the investigation.
