The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

May 2 - Identity theft. Officer Justin Trumbley took a report of identity theft. Stephen Rempe reportedly stated he was contacted regarding a claim for unemployment benefits using his Social Security number. Rempe stated he had not filed for unemployment and the claim was fraudulent, according to the report.

May 4 - Burglary of building. Officer Justin Trumbley took a report of theft in the 500 block of South Ninth Street. Alice Stotts reportedly stated that an iPad was missing from her residence. Trumbley entered the iPad’s identifying information into the National Crime Information Center.

May 4 - Identity theft. Officer Justin Trumbley took a report of identity theft. Whitney Johnson reportedly stated she received a letter from the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission regarding a claim for unemployment. Johnson stated she had not filed for unemployment and the claim was fraudulent, according to the report.

May 6 - Identity theft. Officer Justin Trumbley took a report of identity theft. Daniel Mayfield reportedly stated he received a letter from the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission notifying him that he had been denied unemployment benefits. Mayfield stated he had not filed for unemployment and the claim was fraudulent, according to the report.
