The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

May 8 - Receiving and/ or concealing stolen property. Officer Justin Trumbley took a report of a possible theft of Pioneer Telephone property from a UPS warehouse in Enid. A UPS employee reportedly stated a 53-year-old female on May 7 presented an authorization letter for parcel pickup which included accurate tracking numbers at the UPS warehouse in Enid and the packages were released to her. The packages containing iPhones were scheduled to be shipped to Pioneer Telephone, the report said. According to the report, a Pioneer employee reported on May 8, a woman delivered one of the packages addressed to an individual employee to the Pioneer warehouse. The employee stated she questioned the woman regarding the other missing packages and the subject retrieved two boxes containing all the missing phones except one from her vehicle, according to the report. The woman reportedly stated she believed she had been scammed into picking up the packages by a male individual who provided the authorization letter for pickup through email. According to the report, the woman stated the man hired her to pick up the packages, remove one for her personal use and ship the rest to two different addresses in Maine and New Jersey. Trumbley stated in his report that he obtained surveillance video from Pioneer Telephone of the suspect delivering the packages. After questioning the woman on the phone regarding the incident, Trumbley requested she send him all the texts and emails between herself and the man who allegedly hired her, according to the report. At the time of the report, all the phones had been recovered except one and were valued at over $20,000.

 May 11 - Identity theft. Officer Justin Trumbley took a report of identity theft. Amanda Matthews reportedly stated her Social Security number had been used in an attempt to gain unemployment benefits and the claim was fraudulent.

May 11 - Identity theft. Officer Justin Trumbley took a report of identity theft. Brent Townsend reportedly stated his Social Security number had been used in an attempt to gain unemployment benefits and the claim was fraudulent.

May 11 - Identity theft. Officer Matthew Hollon took a report of identity theft. Amy Johnson reportedly stated a fraudulent unemployment claim had been made using her information. Johnson received an Oklahoma Employment Security Commission determination report and debit card for distribution of unemployment funds, according to the report.

May 12 - No driver’s license, possession of dangerous drugs-marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and possession of burglar implements. Officer Charles Trout stated in his report that he was on patrol in the vicinity of U.S. 81 and Toronto Avenue and witnessed a vehicle driven by an individual known not to possess a valid driver’s license. According to the report, Trout initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle and detected an odor of marijuana. Trout searched the 37-year-old male and discovered a socket with burnt residue in it, which was seized, the report said. The subject was placed under arrest. Trout stated in his report that, upon search of the vehicle, a marijuana roach, a leather pouch containing lock picking tools and a butterfly style knife were discovered and seized as evidence. The marijuana roach was field tested for marijuana and produced a positive test, according to the report. The subject was transported to the county jail. Officers Aaron Schlegel and Dillon Chaloupek assisted with the investigation.
