Kingfisher Police Department reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
June 23 - Identity theft. Officers Justin Trumbley, Justin Conner, Aaron Schlegel, Charles Trout, Dustin Brodrick and Travis Gray took 15 reports of identity theft. Those filing reports of identity theft were: Janicenette McDonald, Theo Eberhardt, David Curry, Carole Liles, James Kennedy, Shane Hood, Pearl Underhill, Rodney Phillips, Jonathan Burton, Katie Ward (on behalf of Sam Ward, deceased), Kenneth Davis (on behalf of Kori Davis), Connie Gallupe, Grant Gallupe, Starla Wittrock and Bradley Wittrock. All reports were regarding fraudulent unemployment claims.
June 23 - Driving under the influence. Officer Ryan Gibson stated in his report that he was on patrol when he witnessed a northbound vehicle on U.S. 81 traveling at a high rate of speed. Gibson initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle in the 1000 block of South Main Street. According to the report, Gibson detected the odor of alcohol on the 24-year-old male driver and witnessed other indicators of intoxication. The suspect was placed under arrest for driving under the influence and transported to the county jail.
June 23 - Unauthorized use of credit/debit card. Officer Dustin Brodrick took a report from Jody Pirtle regarding fraudulent charges on a debit card. According to the report, Pirtle provided Brodrick with paperwork from his bank account indicating multiple fraudulent charges on his debit card. Pirtle reportedly stated he suspected a known individual had made the unauthorized charges and provided the individual’s name to Brodrick. Pirtle also reportedly stated he suspected the individual had bought items online and returned the merchandise for cash. A total of over $2,260 in fraudulent charges and $860 in fraudulent deposits were made on the card, according to the report.
June 24 - Public intoxication. Officer Ryan Gibson responded to a report of a disturbance at Sonic, 1201 S. Main St. Gibson stated in his report that he made contact with a 28-year-old male who appeared to be intoxicated. According to the report, the Sonic manager stated the suspect had come into the restaurant asking for a phone number and when the employees did not provide the number, the man became belligerent. The suspect was placed under arrest for public intoxication and transported to the county jail. Officer Charles Trout assisted with the investigation.
June 24 - Assault and battery. Officer Ryan Gibson responded to a reported assault in the 800 block of South Third Street. Officer Dustin Brodrick assisted with the investigation.
June 26 - Public intoxication. Officer Justin Conner responded to a report of a suspected intoxicated driver at 33 Corner Store, 723 W. Broadway. Conner stated in his report that he made contact with a 32-year-old male who exhibited signs of intoxication. According to the report, the suspect was placed under arrest for public intoxication and transported to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher to be medically cleared for incarceration. After being medically cleared, the suspect was transported to the county jail, the report said. Officers Aaron Schlegel, Sam Ridenhour and Matthew Hollon assisted with the investigation.
June 27 - Disorderly conduct. Officer Aaron Schlegel responded to a domestic altercation in the 400 block of West Don Blanding. Officer Justin Conner and Deputy Mike Shults assisted with the investigation.
