The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

July 29 - Petit larceny. Officer Dillon Chaloupek responded to a report of theft in the 200 block of South Fifth Street. James Butler reportedly stated he left his lawn mower outside overnight and discovered the battery was missing the next morning. Officers informed Butler that they would be alert concerning any information regarding the incident and increase patrols in the area, according to the report. Officer Ryan Gibson assisted with the investigation.

August 2 - Warrant and possession of dangerous drugs prohibited. Officer Brandon Chapman responded to a report of a disturbance at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive. The Walmart assistant manager reportedly stated a man and woman were arguing in the parking lot and in the store and provided officers with a description of the suspects. According to the report, Chapman and Officer Charles Trout made contact with the suspects regarding the incident and the 40-year-old female reportedly stated she had an outstanding warrant. Officers confirmed with dispatch that the woman did have a warrant. According to the report, the woman asked if she could give money she had on her person to the male subject before she was placed under arrest. Upon transferring the money, officers noticed a cylindrical package fall to the ground, the report said. The female reportedly stated the package contained a prescribed controlled substance belonging to the male subject. Officers placed the female subject under arrest for the outstanding warrant and possession of a controlled substance without a valid prescription.
