Kingfisher Police Department reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
December 18 - Burglary-first degree, domestic abuse assault and battery, and malicious injury/destruction of property.
Officer Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of a domestic altercation in the 700 block of West Toronto Avenue. Officers Justin Conner, Dillon Chaloupek and Matthew Hollon assisted with the investigation.
December 23 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer.
Officer Dillon Chaloupek responded to a report of theft at Atwoods, 1213 S. Main St.
Chaloupek made contact with the assistant manager and other employees regarding the alleged theft. An employee reportedly stated the male suspect tried on clothes in the dressing room and exited the dressing room wearing the unpurchased clothes.
The suspect then proceeded to the check-out register and remained there for a lengthy period, checking his pockets before leaving without paying for the items of clothing, another employee reportedly stated.
The employees were able to provide a description of the suspect and the suspect’s vehicle, as well as the vehicle’s tag number, according to the report.
Chaloupek stated in his report he also obtained video footage of the suspect from the store’s surveillance cameras.
The suspect left multiple items in the store including several which contained the suspect’s possible identifying information, the report said.
Two pairs of pants, a shirt and overalls were reportedly stolen and the total value of the items was approximately $390.
December 28 - Burglary-second degree.
According to the report, Sergeant Charles Trout was on patrol in the 100 block of West Don Blanding Avenue when he witnessed four females removing items from a residence.
One of the women who had previously lived at the residence reportedly stated she was retrieving her belongings.
Trout said in his report that he had prior knowledge that the woman had not lived at the residence for approximately six months and asked if she had permission to enter the residence. She reportedly stated that the owner was unaware of her being there, but that he would not care.
After contacting the owner, Trout determined the individual did not have permission to enter the residence and he informed her that he would be in contact with the owner and charges could be filed against her, according to the report.
Officer Sam Ridenhour assisted with the investigation.
December 29 - Public intoxication.
Officer Sam Ridenhour responded to a report of an unwanted person outside a residence in the 200 block of West Chisholm.
Upon arrival, Ridenhour said in his report he located the suspect east of the reported location and made contact with the man. The 30-year-old male reportedly stated that he was attempting to walk to his cousin’s residence.
According to the report, the male subject exhibited signs of intoxication and upon questioning admitted to drinking alcohol that day. A bottle of vodka was discovered in the suspect’s front pocket, the report said.
The suspect was placed under arrest for public intoxication and transported to the Kingfisher County Jail.
January 3 - Malicious injury/destruction of property.
Officer Sam Ridenhour responded to a report of automobile burglary in the 300 block of South 7th Street.
According to the report, the Destiny Arevalo-Mendiola stated it appeared someone had attempted to break into her vehicle and there was a pry mark on the driver’s side rear door.
Arevalo-Mendiola also stated nothing appeared to be missing and none of the other vehicles at the residence had been tampered with, according to the report.
Ridenhour photographed the pry mark on the vehicle and checked for surveillance cameras in the area, but none were located, the report said.
Officer Brandon Chapman assisted with the investigation.
January 5 - Harassment.
Officer Sam Ridenhour was dispatched to a residence in the 700 block of West Toronto Avenue in regard to an unwanted person at the residence.
January 8 - Malicious injury/destruction of property.
Officer Dustin Brodrick responded to a report of vandalism in the 800 block of South Third Street.
According to the report, Lissetthe Delatorre stated as she prepared to leave the residence in the morning she noticed the back windshield of her vehicle was broken and a car battery inside the vehicle.
Brodrick made an attempt to locate any surveillance cameras in the area, the report said.
The reported value of the windshield was $700.
January 9 - Robbery or attempted with dangerous weapon.
Officer Ryan Gibson responded to a report of attempted robbery in the 400 block of West Bowman Avenue.
According to the report, the victim stated he was opening the door to his vehicle and an unidentified man approached him with a knife and demanded his keys and wallet. The victim reportedly stated that he pointed a gun at the suspect and the suspect fled.
The victim provided a description of the suspect to officers, the report said.
Officer Gibson and Matthew Hollon searched the area for the suspect, but were unsuccessful in locating him.
January 9 - Assault and battery.
Officer Justin Conner responded to a report of assault at United Supermarket, 1215 S. Main St.
According to the report, Conner made contact with the manager and several employees regarding a physical altercation that occurred between two employees.
Officer Aaron Schlegel assisted with the investigation.
