Kingfisher Police Department reports

The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

January 24 - Malicious injury to property-over $1000 and burglary-second degree.

Officer Matthew Hollon responded to a burglary alarm at Dennis’ Express Pharmacy, 1308 S. Main St.

Hollon stated in his report, upon arrival, officers discovered the lock on the front door had been broken and external wires to the building had been cut. Officers photographed the front door and outdoor wiring and collected two possible fingerprints from the outdoor electrical box, the report said.

Officers viewed surveillance video of the incident after the owners arrived and accessed the footage. Three suspects were visible in the footage and seen breaking a splice box and using crowbars to attempt to enter the front door, the report said.

According to the report, the suspects fled the scene as the alarm sounded and never entered the store based on the surveillance video.

Officers checked the area surrounding the pharmacy for evidence and made contact with neighboring businesses regarding additional surveillance footage of the incident, according to the report. No additional evidence or security footage was the report said.

Hollon said in his report he contacted an agent at the Drug Enforcement Agency regarding the incident.

Sergeant Charles Trout and Officer Ryan Gibson assisted with the investigation.

January 27 - Public intoxication.

Officer Justin Conner responded to a report of a suspicious individual in the field behind Boeckman Ford, 2200 U.S. 81.

Conner stated in his report that he made contact with a 35-year-old female who exhibited signs of possible intoxication.

According to the report, the suspect admitted to drinking alcohol and also stated she had used methamphetamine earlier in the day.

The suspect was placed under arrest for public intoxication and transported to the county jail.

February 5 - Public intoxication and unlawful possession of paraphernalia.

Officer Matthew Hollon responded to a report of a disturbance in the 800 block of South Third Street.

According to the report, a witness stated a male individual was being aggressive toward another male and the suspect fled when officers arrived.

Hollon stated in his report that he and Officer Justin Conner located the 19-year-old male suspect who exhibited signs of intoxication and also reportedly admitted to drinking alcohol.

According to the report, Hollon searched the individual and discovered a pill bottle containing a green leafy substance, as well as a metal pipe and a “Bob Marley” grinder also containing a green leafy substance and black residue suspected to be marijuana. The pill bottle, pipe and grinder were seized as evidence.

The suspect was placed under arrest for public intoxication and possession of drug paraphernalia and transported to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher for evaluation and medical clearance for incarceration, the report said.

After receiving medical clearance, the suspect was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.

Officers Jason East and Dillon Chaloupek assisted with the investigation.

February 8 - Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, eluding a police officer, leaving the scene of an accident involving damage and possession of contraband by inmate.

Officer Brandon Chapman responded to a report of vehicle striking a residence at 1201 Carl Ave.

Chapman said in his report that he observed a Toyota Tundra which had crashed into the southeast corner of the residence and damaged the air conditioning unit and stockade fence.

Chapman photographed the scene and spoke to the owner of the residence, as well as other witnesses at the scene.

According to the report, Sergeant Charles Trout located the 36-year-old male driver in the backyard of a neighboring residence.

The suspect exhibited signs of being under the influence of methamphetamine and was transported by the Kingfisher Fire Department to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher to be evaluated, the report said.

The suspect was medically cleared for incarceration and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.

Upon booking, detention officers discovered two syringes on the subject which contained a substance which later tested positive for methamphetamine, according to the report.

The suspect was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, eluding a police officer, leaving the scene of an accident involving damage and possession of contraband by inmate.

Officer Briston Lowry assisted with the investigation.
