Kingfisher Police Department reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
May 5 - Burglary of building and receiving and/or concealing stolen property.
Officer Justin Trumbley took a report of theft at 1203 S. Main St. Brandon Courteau reportedly stated multiple tools were missing from his rented storage unit at DRD Storage.
According to the report, Courteau noticed the lock on the unit had been tampered with and identified a possible suspect regarding the theft.
Trumbley said in his report that the suspect had been placed under arrest the previous day in a field northeast of DRD Storage and was in possession of a power washer and wood planer.
Officer Jason East presented photos of the seized tools to Courteau and he confirmed they were his property, according to the report.
Trumbley said in his report that he served a search warrant on two storage units associated with the suspect, but was unable to locate any of the stolen property belonging to Courteau.
The reported value of the missing tools was approximately $4,000.
May 9 - Public intoxication and obstructing an officer. Officer Brandon Chapman responded to a report of a disturbance at Shaw Park, 800 S. 11th St.
Chapman said in his report that two female individuals were located at a picnic table and he and Officer Matthew Hollon asked for their identification.
According to the report, one suspect stated she did not have any identification with her and the other suspect refused to identify herself and attempted to leave the area.
Officers informed the 33-year-old suspect attempting to leave that she was being detained and could not leave the area, but she continued to resist and became more belligerent, according to the report.
The suspect admitted to drinking alcohol and officers placed the suspect under arrest for public intoxication, the report said.
Officers transported the subject to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center, where she continued to be uncooperative, according to the report.
The suspect was additionally charged with obstructing an officer.
May 11 - Theft of motor vehicle. Officer Tyler Girten responded to a report of a stolen vehicle at 1504 S. Main St.
According to the report, Ben Yost stated his 1989 Chevrolet Suburban had been stolen overnight from Sunrise Cafe, 1504 S. Main St.
Girten entered the vehicle’s identifying information into the National Crime Information Center.
May 12 - Identity theft. Officer Aaron Schlegel took a report of identity theft in the 900 block of West Fay Avenue.
According to the report, Richard St. Cyr II said he received an email regarding activity on his credit report and that he had not applied for credit recently.
St. Cyr stated that the activity was fraudulent and he had a freeze placed on his credit report, but wanted to have a report on file with the police department, the report said.
May 16 - Leaving scene of accident. Officer Justin Conner responded to a report of an individual leaving the scene of an accident in the Walmart parking lot, 200 W. Starlite Drive.
According to the report, Tonya Price informed Con ner that a witness indicated a vehicle had struck the front of her vehicle and left the scene. The witness provided a description of the vehicle as well as the tag number, according to the report.
Conner said in his report that he did not see any visible damage to the front of the Price vehicle.
Conner made contact with the owner of the other vehicle, Danny Mastalka, and he admitted to hitting Price’s vehicle, but stated that he didn’t see any damage and left the scene, the report said.
Conner examined the Mastalka vehicle and did not witness any visible damage from the incident, according to the report.
