The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

January 13 - Larceny from house. Offi cer Justin Conner responded to a report of theft in the 500 block of South Sixth Street. According to the report, Tristian Haus stated he had $400 in his room when he left for work and when he returned it was missing. Haus reportedly stated a friend was in the house and had invited two other people over the day the alleged theft occurred.

January 14 - Fraudulent use of credit card number. Officer Aaron Schlegel took a report from Isaac Farnsworth regarding fraudulent use of his bank card. Farnsworth reportedly stated he noticed seven fraudulent charges made in Moore and Choctaw on his account totaling approximately $765. According to the report, Farnsworth stated that he had his bank card in his possession, but he suspected the perpetrators used his bank card number to make the charges. Schlegel stated in his report that Farnsworth would need to file reports with Moore and Choctaw police departments, where the fraudulent activity occurred.

January 18 - Driving with license canceled/suspended/revoked and no insurance. Officer Justin Conner stated in his report that he was on patrol on southbound U.S. 81 and witnessed a 2007 Kia Sportage with inoperable tag lights. Conner initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle and made contact with the 40-year-old female driver. According to the report, the driver stated her driver’s license was suspended and provided an expired insurance card. Conner verified the suspended license and issued the driver two citations for driving with license canceled/suspended/ revoked and no insurance. Conner allowed the driver to collect her possessions and the vehicle was impounded.

January18-Burglary-fi rst degree. Officer Broden Carls responded to an attempted break-in at a residence in the 100 block of West Don Blanding Avenue. Upon arrival, Carls stated in his report that the 45-year-old female resident said a male subject had attempted to open the front door to her residence twice before the offi cer’s arrival, but had left the scene. According to the report, the resident provided a description of the man and a picture of the vehicle he was driving. Carls stated in his report that he recognized the man, based on the description, as a 60-year-old male subject offi cers had contact with the previous evening at Love’s. Carls asked the woman if she witnessed any damage to her property and she indicated there was no damage, according to the report.

January 19 - Domestic assault and battery/abuse. Officer Justin Conner investigated a report of domestic abuse in the 700 block of South Eighth Street.

January 20 - Driving under the infl uence. Offi cer Justin Conner stated in his report that he was on patrol when he witnessed an SUV cross the center line near S.H. 33 and South Seventh Street. According to the report, Conner followed the vehicle and initiated a traffi c stop of the vehicle after he witnessed it cross the center line again near S.H. 33 and 10th Street. Conner stated in his report that upon making contact with the 21-year-old male driver he detected an odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle and the driver. According to the report, Conner asked the driver to exit the vehicle and the driver appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication. Officer Aaron Schlegel assisted with the investigation and attempted to administer field sobriety tests to the driver, but the driver refused, according to the report. Conner placed the driver under arrest for suspicion of driving under the infl uence of alcohol and transported him to the county jail.
