The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

August 6 - Identity theft. Officer Dustin Brodrick took a report of identity theft. Stephen Powers reportedly stated a fraudulent unemployment claim had been filed in his name.

August 7 - DUI-Liquor or drugs. Officer Brandon Chapman responded to a report of an unresponsive driver in the vicinity of South Seventh Street and West Overstreet Avenue. Chapman stated in his report that a 31-year-old male driver appeared to be asleep in a vehicle with the engine running, which was stopped in the street. According to the report, the driver exhibited signs of intoxication upon exiting the vehicle. A partial field sobriety test was performed before the subject refused to complete the test, the report said. The driver was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI and transported to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher to receive medical clearance for incarceration. The subject was medically cleared and transported to the county jail, according to the report. Officers Aaron Schlegel and Charles Trout assisted with the investigation.
