Kingfisher Study Club holds monthly luncheon
Kingfisher Study Club met May 1 for a salad luncheon at the Methodist Church Fellowship Hall as Donna Inman and Gerry Plummer served as hostesses.
Tables were decorated with fresh flowers and chocolates.
Following the luncheon, President Carlene Gooden called the meeting to order. She opened by wishing the members “Happy Mother’s Day,” then read the poem “World’s Meanest Mom,” author unknown.
Sixteen members answered roll call by giving the quote on the Dove chocolate favor found at each place.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The treasurer’s report was approved. Members voted to give the annual donation to the Kingfisher Public Library.
In new business, there was discussion regarding the bylaws section on membership.
Melda Fischer, 2019-20 president, appointed the following officers: Nancy Hasenfratz, parliamentarian; Clarietta Lowe, historian; Connie Boeckman, custodian of records; Terri Peck, courtesy.
The yearbook committee is Gerry Plummer, chairman, assisted by Dawn Ann Mendenhall, Peck and Fischer.
Sections were drawn and hostess list for next year's meeting was made available.
The meeting was closed with reciting the Club Women's Collect.
