Kingfisher Traffic Accidents
The following traffic accidents are being investigated by the Kingfisher Police Department:
September 9, 2:26 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and Starlite Drive. Anthony Goldsberry, 50, Newalla, driving a 2017 Ford F-250, was southbound on U.S. 81 and stopped at the traffic light of the Starlite Drive junction. Edward Alvarado, Jr., 34, Yukon, driving a 2018 Ford F-250 towing a trailer, was also southbound on U.S. 81. The Alvarado vehicle was unable to stop and struck the Goldsberry vehicle. Minor damage was reported to both vehicles.
September 9, 12:30 p.m. - At U.S. 81 and S.H. 33. Steven Lott, 24, Hennessey, driving a 2016 Dodge Ram, was legally parked on the east side of U.S. 81 just north of S.H. 33. A witness reported hearing a noise and saw a semi-truck and a truck towing a gooseneck trailer northbound on U.S. 81. The witness stated he was not sure if one of the two vehicles he witnessed struck the Lott vehicle or ran over debris in the roadway. The Lott vehicle had minor damage to the driver’s side rear corner.
September 15, 8:47 p.m. - U.S. 81 and Overstreet Avenue. Cleveland Claborn, 60, Enid, driving a 2016 Hyundai, was northbound in the outside lane of U.S. 81. Jacob Hess, 41, Burleson, Texas, driving a 1994 Peterbilt, was also northbound in the inside lane of U.S. 81. The Hess vehicle swerved into the outside lane to avoid striking a vehicle making a left turn onto Overstreet and collided with the Claborn vehicle. Functional damage was reported to the Claborn vehicle and minor damage was reported to the Hess vehicle.
