Kingfisher woman injured in accident

By

A Kingfisher woman was listed in stable condition late Sunday after a one-vehicle accident resulted in her being flown to an Oklahoma City hospital.

Sydney N. Jones, 20, suffered internal trunk and head injuries after crashing the 1997 Ford F-150 pickup-truck she was driving late Sunday afternoon, according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The report said Jones was driving south on NS2920 road about three-fourths of a mile south of State Highway 33 when she lost control and left the roadway.

The truck rolled one-and-a-half times and Jones was ejected about 43 feet from its point of rest, the report said. The report indicated Jones was wearing a seatbelt.

She was flown to OU Medical Center.

Joining the OHP on the scene were the Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Office, Kingfisher EMS, Cashion Fire Department, Big 4 Fire Department and Air Evac Lifeteam.
