KPD investigating incidents

The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

April 26 - Theft. Officer Justin Trumbley took a report of theft in the 200 block of E. Miles Avenue.

According to the report, Erik Stutts stated his motorcycle tag was stolen, but was unsure at what location it had been removed. Trumbley entered the stolen tag number into the National Crime Information Center.

April 28 - Unlawfully entering private residence. Officer Tyler Girten responded to a report of an attempted break-in in the 600 block of South Third Street.

A female resident reportedly stated a male suspect knocked on her door and after speaking with him, he attempted to push his way into the residence. The resident was able to shut the door and the suspect left the residence, the report said.

Girten said in his report that while he was talking with the resident, the possible suspect’s vehicle was observed traveling eastbound on East Bowman.

Officer Jason East initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle and confirmed the suspect matched the description given by the resident, according to the report.

The 45-year-old male suspect reportedly admitted to knocking on the resident’s door and speaking with her, but denied attempting to enter the residence.

April 30 - Driving with license canceled/ suspended/revoked, warrant, possession of dangerous drugs prohibited, possession of dangerous drugs prohibited-marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

Officer Aaron Schlegel reported that he attempted to make contact with a 43-year-old Kingfisher woman at her residence in the 800 block of South Third Street regarding an outstanding warrant.

Schlegel said in his report that he was unable to make contact with the suspect at her home, but observed the individual driving southbound on South Third Street and initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle.

According to the report, Schlegel placed the suspect under arrest for the warrant and asked her if she had anything illegal on her person and she stated she did not.

While searching the suspect, Schlegel said in his report that he discovered a pack of Zig Zags containing a white crystal rock in the suspect’s pocket.

In the officers’ search of the vehicle two marijuana roaches, a cigarette pipe, metal pipe, bottle of marijuana, two containers with white crystal residue, THC container, insurance check payable to another individual and black purse with syringes, baggies and a cotton ball were discovered and seized as evidence, according to the report.

The suspect was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center and charged with operating a motor vehicle while driver’s license is revoked, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as the outstanding warrant.

Schlegel said in his report that he conducted field tests of some of the seized evidence and the white crystal rock tested positive for methamphetamine and substance from one of the containers tested positive for marijuana.

Officer Dillon Chaloupek assisted with the investigation.

April 30 - Operate a motor vehicle with fic titious license plate, no driver’s license and escape after lawful arrest.

Officer Aaron Schlegel reported that he was on patrol along East Bowman Street when he observed a vehicle turn eastbound onto East Bowman from Rock Island Street.

Schlegel said in his report the 2000 Ford Expedition displayed a tag registered to a 1996 Ford and the third brake light was defective.

According to the report, Schlegel initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle, but it continued to a residence before coming to a stop.

After the vehicle came to a stop, the driver, a 38-yearold male known to the officer, exited the vehicle and began running south and refused to stop, the report said.

Schlegel said in his report, he and other officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.

Officers inventoried the vehicle, seized the improper tag and impounded the vehicle, the report said.

May 6 - Enter structure with certain intent-break and enter. Captain Travis Gray responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 1100 block of South Ninth Street.

Officer Quinton Cline assisted with the investigation.

May 7 - Complaint. Officer Dillon Chaloupek took a report of a scam in the 900 block of South Sixth.

According to the report, Carolyn Sheedy stated she received a call informing her there was a warrant for her arrest.

Sheedy reportedly stated the caller had access to her address, phone number, name and the last four digits of her social security number and she wanted to report the incident as fraudulent.
