The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

November 26 - Indecent exposure. Officer Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of indecent exposure in Walmart parking lot, 200 W. Starlite Drive.

Schlegel stated in his report that he located the 29-year-old male suspect in a 2017 Toyota Corolla and questioned the man regarding a witness report of his performing indecent acts in a vehicle in public view.

According to the report, the man admitted to the allegations but stated that he did not think anyone could see through the vehicle’s tinted windows.

Schlegel placed the man under arrest for indecent exposure and impounded the vehicle. Officers Jason East and David Catron assisted with the investigation.

November 28 - Petit larceny. Officer Charles Trout responded to a report of an individual siphoning fuel from vehicles in the 700 block of South 11th Street.

Erik Padilla, Kingfi sher, reportedly stated he noticed some of the vehicles at his shop had been tampered with and found a tube placed in the gas tank of one of the vehicles.

According to the report, Padilla stated that he witnessed on surveillance video a male subject walking around the lot and provided Trout with a description of the man. Trout stated in his report that he photographed evidence at the scene and Padilla stated he would email the surveillance video to Trout.

November 30 - Petit larceny, receiving and/or concealing stolen property, and obstructing officer. Officer Justin Conner responded to a report of theft at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive. Conner met with off-duty Officer Broden Carls, who reported that he witnessed a subject exit the store through the garden center without paying for merchandise in his cart and place it in the trunk of a vehicle in the parking lot.

Officer Aaron Schlegel arrived and surveilled the vehicle while Conner returned to the store to attempt to locate the suspect.

Walmart management directed Conner to the location of the suspect near the garden center. Conner stated in his report that the 39-year-old male suspect appeared to be attempting to exit the garden center with another cart of merchandise.

According to the report, Conner escorted the man to the vehicle in the parking lot and the man admitted to taking multiple items and placing them in the trunk. Officers retrieved the merchandise and Walmart management representatives scanned the merchandise which totaled approximately $350.

Conner stated in his report that he asked Walmart management to page the suspect’s girlfriend who was in the store. After offi cers questioned the 32-year-old female regarding details of the couple’s address and birthdates, Conner suspected the male subject had given false information in an attempt to obstruct the officers, according to the report.

The male suspect was placed under arrest for obstructing an offi cer, petit larceny, and knowingly concealing stolen property.
