KPD responds to, investigates recent incident reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
March 8 - Larceny/burglary of controlled dangerous substance. Officer Ryan Gibson took a report of theft of controlled dangerous substances from Heritage Pharmacy, 1309 S. Main St.
Pharmacist Vanessa England reportedly stated she noticed the inventory of controlled dangerous drugs was short a few pills on a regular basis over a three to four month period.
According to the report, England spoke with the staff about the issue, but the controlled dangerous drugs continued to be short on inventory.
On March 8, an employee admitted to England she had taken controlled dangerous drugs from the pharmacy on multiple occasions, the report said.
Gibson said in his report that he spoke to the 45-yearold female suspect regarding the incident and she admitted to taking approximately 20 pills from the pharmacy during a three-month period.
According to the report, the individual is no longer an employee at the pharmacy and England said she would be filing a report with the Drug Enforcement Agency, Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy and Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics.
March 19 - Unauthorized use of credit/debit card.
Officer Dillon Chaloupek took a report from Olga Padilla regarding fraudulent use of a debit card.
According to the report, Padilla stated a known 26-year-old male individual had used her debit card to make unauthorized purchases and ATM withdrawals.
Chaloupek said in his report that he made contact with the individual regarding the charges and possession of the debit card.
March 21 - Larceny of lost property.
Officer Justin Conner took a report of theft at Walmart, 100 W. Starlite Drive.
Allie Stewart reportedly stated she had set her phone down while using the self-checkout and discovered it was missing.
Conner made contact with the security team at Walmart and while reviewing surveillance video, he observed a male subject take the phone from the self-checkout, the report said.
Chief David Catron took photos from the footage and posted them on social media in an attempt to identify the suspect.
According to the report, the suspect was identified and officers made contact with the 20-year-old male suspect regarding the incident.
The suspect admitted to taking the phone and returned the phone to the officer, the report said.
Captain Travis Gray and Officer Justin Trumbley assisted with the investigation.
March 23 - Planning or threatening violent act, impersonating public officer by uniform or vehicle and extortion by threatening letter.
Officer Charles Trout took a report of an individual receiving threatening messages.
Emilee Smith reportedly stated an individual sent her threatening messages on social media and email. Smith then began to receive threatening text messages and photos on her cell phone, the report said.
Trout advised Smith to block the sender’s cell phone number and contact the police department if she received more messages.
March 23 - Domestic abuse assault and battery, planning or threatening violent act and kidnapping.
Officer Dillon Chaloupek took a report of an assault and an individual being held against her will in the 2300 block of South Frontage Road.
March 25 - Child endangerment and driving under the influence of drugs.
Officer Justin Conner responded to a report of a reckless driver on southbound U.S. 81.
According to the report, Conner located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle near the intersection of Locust Avenue after observing it veer left of center several times.
Conner said in his report he made contact with the 39-year-old female driver who exhibited signs of intoxication.
Conner detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and questioned the woman regarding the use of drugs, according to the report.
The driver reportedly stated she had a medical marijuana card, but had not used any in over six hours.
Officer Aaron Schlegel performed field sobriety tests on the driver and she was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, according to the report.
Conner said in his report that he transported the driver to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher for a blood test and then to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
According to the report, a minor child was a passenger in the vehicle and was released into the custody of a family member.
Officers Jason East and Dillon Chaloupek assisted with the investigation. March 30 - Identity theft. Officer Justin Trumbley took a report of identity theft in the 100 block of Thompson Drive.
Lisa Long reportedly stated she received a letter from a collection agency attempting to collect payment on an overdue account at Purdue University. Long stated that the claim was fraudulent and she was victim of identity theft, according to the report.
March 30 - Larceny-auto, aircraft or other motor vehicle.
Officer Dustin Brodrick took a report regarding theft of an automobile in the 900 block of South 11th Street.
Irene Whitehead reportedly said she started the ignition of her vehicle to let it warm up at approximately 5:45 a.m. on March 30 and about 15 minutes later she discovered it was missing.
Brodrick said in his report that he entered the vehicle information into the National Crime Information Center and sent a “be on the lookout” (BOLO) to other law enforcement agencies.
The vehicle was identified as a 2013 Toyota Corolla and its reported value was $10,000.
March 30 - Grand larceny. Officer Aaron Schlegel took a report regarding theft of a trailer.
According to the report, Mark Bottrell of TerraStar Inc. received a call from an individual at Grady County Sheriff’s Office stating that they had recovered a trailer owned by TerraStar.
Bottrell stated that the trailer had been taken from either the company office yard at 1515 S. Seventh St. in Oklahoma City or the area of Seventh and Bowman in Kingfisher approximately four to six weeks ago, according to the report.
Bottrell reportedly stated the trailer was last used about six weeks ago, but had not been reported stolen at that time.
In order to recover the trailer from Grady County Sheriff’s Office, Bottrell said he needed a police report and proof of ownership, according to the report.
The missing and later recovered trailer was identified as a 2011 20-foot Road Boss utility trailer valued at $3,790.
April 4 - Public intoxication. Officer Charles Trout responded to a report of an intoxicated individual at Jacket Express on South Main Street.
According to the report, a clerk at Jacket Express said a woman asked to use the phone and appeared to be impaired by alcohol or drugs, but had left the store after using the phone.
Officer Matthew Hollon located the 41-year-old female at Valero, 100 W. Mitchell Drive.
Hollon detained the individual after noticing the woman had a piece of foil with burned residue on it as well as a black substance on her face and the woman appeared to be intoxicated, the report said.
Deputy Jonathan Reidlinger spoke with the owner of Valero and he reportedly stated the woman came into the store asking to use the phone and appeared to be intoxicated.
Trout placed the suspect under arrest for public intoxication and transported her to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
Officer Ryan Gibson assisted with the investigation.
