Kingfisher Board of Education will wrap up the fiscal year with a meeting this week.

The meeting is at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 30.

The board regularly meets the first Monday of each month, except holidays, but annually meets twice in June with the latter being at the end of the month to handle financial and bookkeeping requirements.

On top of moving on those tasks, the board will also vote on awarding bid packages for materials and labor for the construction of the new seventh and eighth grade center.

Board members will also discuss protocols for summer school and reopening for the 2020-21 school year as well as a KHS valedictorian and salutatorian policy.

The agenda calls for the board to meet at the Board of Education office, but for the last three months members have adjourned there to meet in the high school cafeteria to allow for social distancing.
